I’m finding it hard to write this week as I’m deeply saddened by the recent tragedy in Orlando. There’s no appropriate topic to be written after such a disgusting event. I can’t wrap my head around a person who would even think to perform such a selfish act. To kill 50 innocent people, to me is unfathomable.
When a stupid terrorist attack happens, the world gets seized by fear. We start to think an attack like this can happen on any normal day at any time. I don’t want to live every day in fear. When an act like this occurs, I hug my family tighter. I question why I ever get frustrated by my husband for not having dinner ready or the laundry folded. I wonder why I spend my days worrying about calories in, energy out, how I look in my bikini, or where I spend my money. In reality, life is way too short. You never know when it may be taken from you.
Fears are educated into us, and can, if we wish, be educated out.

Today, I wanted to pay tribute to the victims. To each beautiful soul that was taken by this tragic event. And to the families that are suffering. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I am so deeply sorry for your loss.
And I wanted to give you a simple reminder to enjoy every single day. Every single moment. Hug your family. Visit your friends. Smile at strangers. Prioritize the things that matter because you never know when those things won’t be an option anymore.
